About the Artist:

Van Gogh's life and stay in Arles paved way to paintings that are ranked today as one of his famous paintings.  Paintings like Cafe Terrace, The Yellow House, Bedroom in Arles were some of the famous creations during his stay in Arles.

Artwork Description:

The Yellow House earlier titled by Van Gogh as "The Street" was executed in September 1888.   Van Gogh during his stay had rented out 4 rooms.  Van Gogh and Paul Gauguin lived for nine weeks.  This Yellow House is synonymous to the famous "Bedroom in Arles" painting as one of the rooms of Van Gogh was inside the Yellow House.  The pink colour store on the left is the restaurant where Van Gogh used to have his meals.  Today, The Yellow House no longer exists as it was severly damaged in bombing--raids during the Second World War.
