About the Artist:

Vincent Willem van Gogh was a Dutch Post-Impressionist painter. During his last stay in the hospital, Vincent painted landscapes in which he recreated the world of his childhood.

Artwork Description:

The Langlois Bridge was a drawbridge that crossed over the Arles to Bouc canal.  Van Gogh painted the bridge, using the Japanese techniques.  He employed clear simplified colors using contrasts such as yellow and blue to create a vibrant statement.
