About the Artist:

Vincent Van Gogh was an highly emotional, lacked self-confidence and struggled with his identity.  He belieed that his true calling was to preach the gospel; however, it took years for him to discover his calling as an artist.  He developed his own more bold and unconventional style.

Artwork Description:

This is a fine work by Van Gogh and the painting is a breezy capture of two boats sailing against the wave huddle under the Pont de Clichy bridge over the Seine in Paris, France.  The colours are predominantly green and blue and we can see a man in a hat may perhaps a boatman relaxing and still.
